Storm forming off the coast might be interesting in these parts come later this weekend/early next week.

Looks like a classic heavy rain threat for anyone in CTP, PHI or BGM service area.  Probably going to see some spot hit 7"+ of rain over the course of next week.  Even with the recent dry spell that will cause flooding concerns.

So the Susquehanna and point west jackpot? Nothing new here...

Same old same old when it comes to BIG rain events it seems.

Eh...I'm not losing a whole lot of sleep if I get 2" of rain while someone else gets 6". I don't need or want water problems in my basement.

On the other hand, i agree with what you're saying completely. No matter the season it seems, "big" weather events have eluded the coal region for quite a few years.

Already over 1.25”. I think MDT gets 5.5”+.

This looks like that Jan 2016 NAM storm.

Yes!  I was just thinking the same thing when I saw the posts of the weather models from earlier today.

I wonder if it will ever be possible to top that 30 inch storm snow total at MDT ?

When it come to weather, Schuylkill County is the most boring place in Central/East Pennsylvania.
