March 20th-22nd Not So Suppressed Storm Obs

Recommended Posts

8" out in Chester. Ripping snow. Perfect outside. The snow is much lighter than expected for late March.

I think I will hit 10"; 12" could be a stretch. Good luck to you guys east of here.

Very heavy snow continuing here is SW Suffolk. You can start to see the branches bending under the weight of the heavy wet snow.

Snowing heavily in Hoboken.  Was encouraged to see that mesoscale discussion which said rates around 1 inch per hour are expected for the next two to four hours.  I suspect that will put us around a foot, if not a bit higher.  The NWS still seems to think our final numbers will be in the 13-15 inch range, so that is good news as well.

The snow here has been very light the last couple hours, despite good looking radar echoes. Weird. We do have 6 inches, but that's quite a bit less than surrounding areas. Looks as if northern Middlesex county is a screwzone for this one.

It's snowing so heavily that the sky is an almost milky blue.

Just east of you and have a little more; this storm seems to be delivering more east as opposed to west last time. I think you had 9 in that one I had 4.
