March 20th-22nd Not So Suppressed Storm Obs

Recommended Posts

Was just thinking that. Latest runs barely have .3 QPF into the city. Radar tells an entirely different story.

Can’t help but think how the radar matches the latest euro qpf output signature

GFS has the banding too. This storm is far from over for Central NJ northeastward through NYC and Long Island.

Moderate and accumulating in Lynbrook. Possibly many folks who wrote off today (ahem) or go to bed early might be in for a surprise.

NYC mayor might have to possibly reconsider his decision on schools if it snows until the early morning hours and another half foot accumulates.

I agree, it’s definitely getting better. We’re also solidly moderate snow now verging on heavy.

You never would have known this was march snow. Crazy. Light snow earlier sticking to roads in Central Jersey. Looks like January February type snow easily. Where are those sun angle people now lol?

It’s definitely piling up better now at night, but this would’ve stuck easily all day.

It felt like a light rain in Midtown 30 minutes ago. Actually melted some accumulations.

Back to snow now, hoping we can pull off 4 - 6 overnight, but think we'll be just under.

I was bashed last night and earlier this morning for saying the worst is yet to come and forecasted 8-12 inches for the NYC area.

This morning was better still. But totals you'll win. Upton calling for an addition 9" an hour ago, not looking like a winner.

7" south jersey city. 31 degrees . We've had huge flakes all day but seems as if we entered the poor snow growth region. Flakes like dust now

Radar looks sweet. Finally a decent storm there.
