Ok.  I didn't pay attention to how much they were supposed to get vs how much they're getting.  Hope you're right.

Yeah. Well over performing and early transition. This is sneaking up on people. HKY said recently on here that he’s not be shocked to see over 2 here. Idk. Anything at this point is possible.

Brad P specifically pointed out in his updated VLOG that the back edge is not almost through, but is still back in TN. Don't expect it to help CLT, but I think the mountains/Triad will see several more hours of snow even after the main band has moved through. Developing coastal should help this too.

Near term /through tonight/...
as of 1045 am Monday...leaving the forecast as-is for now
despite some possible changes that may be needed later today
(guidance comes in an hour later now that it's dst). Namely,
upper low moving across Georgia looks a little bit further south than
progged and also has a southerly component to its movement not
really forecast by guidance. This may translate to wintry and
possibly accumulating snow further south than thought.

No way this storm is close to 10/1. Even half that would be impressive, though.

Also, you can tell that the ULL isn't done and precip is making it over the mountains. The band approaching Hickory currently is coming from the NW, while the bulk of the main band is coming from the SSW.
