What are people using to track r/s line?

Ptype maps (intellicast, radarscope) are incorrect based on ground obs Boston metrowest

CC radar / differential reflectivity don't seem to be capturing it well either

Yep, ...appears the melt altitude is below the rad detection for the ptype algorithms maybe.

Not sure what else it would be.  I have a friends in both Waltham and in Arlington where Intell has snow, yet they are saying its straight rain.

Wait what?  Been mod to heavy here the last hour...

Not here, the only heavy snow of the day was for about 20 minutes earlier today. I've got 3" here with steady snow, but small flakes.

Yeah that's about 175' there. BOX hit the elevation component hard. That's why that weenie in Tolland has so much despite his pathetic radar returns.

Yeah I'm on another hill in Tolland around 770ft and it has been ripping here for over an hour now. Paved surfaces are well covered now.

5.5” here so far, just NW of that band in the Berkshires. ABC10 crew from Albany was interviewing kids on Main Street.

I just saw that report. Should be quite a bit more to come over there.
