Somebody is going to get MAULed here. Both the NAM and the GFS have quite a bit of MUCAPE in the 850-500 mb layer. Like in the 18z to 03z time frame.

It's a pretty good sign that it's cold enough aloft to generate OES right now. PSM dropped to 1 1/2SM with this cellular stuff.

Great track on the CMC but it's actual slightly warmer than the previous run, thereby minimizing impacts for most besides far western CT. Feeling the urge to toss it's thermals just like the GFS

It took a while for me to stop hearing AVN, prob a good 3-4 years....some model sites still have it listed as AVN too, and it hasn't been the AVN since 2002.

Lol...that was classic. Talk about choking when the stakes were high. Kocin wrote the CCAMS forecast that day too and signed it "Kocin '77"....lol...that was awesome.
