Absolutely ripping +SN in Blacksburg right now. 33/33.

EDIT: Turned into heavy sleet under the heaviest returns with thunder in the distance. Big ice chunks that hurt when they hit exposed skin. 33/32 now.

We had thunder sleet/rain last night with temps around 38f. Had some fat flakes mixed in as well. Oddly awesome. Currently snowing lightly at 32.9f/31.4f

That was a cool storm last night. Scared my dogs to death.

Looking at the current radar, precip is developing to the west of RDU. It would be nice to see a little more snow before this ends.

Heavy dusting in Summerfield, NC (9mi NNW of GSO) with snow still coming down. Roads are just wet.

I remember seeing snow in early April once back in the early 2000s, but this is a close 2nd for the latest snow and will probably be 3rd after this weekend....CRAZY

A few flakes were flying around this morning in Hickory between 7:00 and 9:00 AM.  Hard to justify a 2-hour delay for local schools, but then I'm not the one entrusted to make those calls.
