Can anyone give an appox cutoff time? I'm usually way off w/these pivot wrap around things...

my guess based on radar and trends would be heaviest between now and 430 then mod-light until 730 ish. still a long way to go...this is not a fast mover like we are used to this season

413 & 232 (just north of Newtown and south of Doylestown)  Near Pineville Inn

wow even further south than I thought. very familiar with that road. my best friend growing up lived in doylestown right off of 413 past 202 and being from Levittown I made that trip more times than I can remember and through all kinds of weather. It is usually treated and salted first. must be very heavy rates to be seeing plowable snow there. very surprised. again can't believe no WWA out for at least Bucks/huntington/mercer. conditions seem definitely worthy.

i can't believe honestly that Mt Holly hasn't pulled the trigger on WWA yet. Conditions across the area in places that don't have one certainly warrant it. I mean redsky has 2 inches already and he doesn't have one. This isn't a slight at them I am just wondering what their reasoning is considering it is looking likely there are going to be areas that dont have a wwa currently that are going to see moderate to heavy snow all afternoon. even if roads don't cave the visibility is still dangerous. just surprised we haven't seen them yet is all.

They just issued a SPS for it but I don't think it has met WWA criteria yet -

...AN AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT
PORTIONS OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, AND
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY EARLY THIS AFTERNOON...

At 1220 PM EST, an area of moderate to locally heavy snow was
located over the Lehigh Valley, the northern suburbs of
Philadelphia and central and southern New Jersey. Visibilities
have been reduced to one-half mile at times with a few spots
as low as one-quarter mile. With the ground still warm, snowfall
accumulations will initially be limited to non-paved surfaces
such as grass, sidewalks and cars. Several traffic cameras in
eastern Pennsylvania and central New Jersey between Interstate 78
and the Pennsylvania Turnpike/Interstate 195, where the snow has
already been falling for a couple of hours, show roads starting
to become snow covered.

The rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads are
likely to lead to accidents. Slow down and allow extra time to
safely reach your destination.

I was trying to find if Mt. Holly had our area's criteria on their website but noted that Binghampton was listing 4" as theirs (over a 12 hour period IIRC).

Remember, no salt on the roads.  was just raining only two hours ago

This evenmt reminds me of the dreaded Feb 2001 event (although not as large a temp drop) that snarled roads for hours.  hope for no repeat later today :(

I mean we've definitely had WWA issued for much less imo this seems as bad as 2 weekends ago which saw a WWA.

Cool thanks.

No doubt about that...this thing is taking it's sweet old time. Our last plastered snow experience we practically saw the back edge and it just started...WTF?

32.6F heavy snow/winds gusting/streets/driveways covered. GOOD STUFF!
