Detroit and Chicago had nice threads going during the record winters of 2013-14 & 2014-15 (naturally 2013-14 was by far king).

The 21st century is taking over that list, as should this winter make it, then 7 of the top 20 would be since 2003 & 5 of the top 20 since 2008. I may have missed some stuff, just wanted to get this list up and running like we did in 2013-15. Will update accordingly.

GFS isn't the only model around, it is 5.7" and it isn't even to the end of February yet with average from now on to end of April of 10" of snow still. I will play averages and say we get 57% of average by then.

Agree 100%. The simple law of averages would imply that it's a good chance we will crack into the top 20, regardless of what the current 7 day forecast is. Might we not make it? Absolutely. But at this point you have to remember what time of year it is and how late it can snow here. Some people get tired of what they call stale snowcover that sits there day after day midwinter, this is kind of the opositte. Early and especially late season snow can melt fast, but it still counts towards the season total lol. Measurable snow is fairly common into mid and even late April.

Btw will update the records list sometime this week.
