Oh man, tough break. I thought you would have at least gotten something after it flipped to all snow here.

I measured 1.1" from this event. That brings my seasonal total to 30.6".

So when we left midtown around 11pm roads were a little slushy but not bad. Didn’t really run into any dicey road conditions until we were way up on the Henry Hudson Parkway almost into the Bronx. I forgot how amazingly rural that part of Manhattan is, and it’s crazy to think that at one point the entire island was forest. In any event, the paste on the trees looked spectacular, wish I could have taken some pictures. Roads were generally just slushy till I got to Rockland on the Thruway, even the Saw Mill wasn’t bad.

That part of Manhattan isn’t ‘rural’.  And what you were seeing was the effect of elevation.

Thats the Henry Hudson running through Fort Tryon and Inwood Hill parks. The highway going though parkland makes it feel secluded but exit and its furthest thing from rural around there.

I know it’s very isolated, but it’s a nice little oasis and for a few minutes you forget you’re even in NYC.

Yeah I know that area is very isolated, but it’s still beautiful, especially with the snow cover. Isn’t Grants tomb close to there?

Edit: NVM I see it’s actually South of the GWB. I’ve never been there.
