BWI reported 2.2" total.  Haven't seen an updated mark for IAD.  Lol at DCA's 0.2".

https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=PNS&issuedby=LWX

Heaviest snow axis was Loudon-MoCo-HoCo-Baltimore city area-southern Harford with 2-4" in that zone.  May the Rockville-Columbia deathband never leave us again.

Where is that link on the NWS page? I tried the storm report link at the bottom and it has a single report.

Edit:  Ohhhh....

I see it. Duh.

The ICON stuck with the basic idea of a widespread 1-3" all week, with relatively minor fluctuations.  Looks like it was right.

I like that the ICON calculates its own ratios, taking some of the guesswork out of figuring out whether we should use Kuchera, snow depth, etc.

I don't think it's deniable that the euro destroyed all guidance with this event. Doesn't mean it will happen with future events but with this particular one....job well done.

Just back from Gettysburg. Fun little event there. Got in a good hike before the snow hit. Didn't see an official report, but eyeballing it was close to 3".

Got home to some patchy snow here and there with temps in the mid 40s. Since I wasn't here I will go with the CoCoRaHS report from 1 mile east of Greensboro for my yard. I am 2 miles or so NW, so very close. That report was 1.2", but I will just go with an even 1" for here.

DCA is going to remain deliberately and stubbornly pitiful on snow measurements

The new temperature sensor with UHI compensation seems to be working out well though, eh?

ICON did pretty well too.  Picked up the storm about as soon as it was in range and never lost it.

Norrisville HarCo report has to be off. Mappy’s 1.8”, with Norrisville at 2.5”? Don’t buy it, if anything it should be significantly less.

Nah, its legit. Das posted the radar a page or so ago. Norrisville was under snow bands while I was in the snow hole for a couple hours. Plus they have a little more elevation than I do, so when my rates were light I was getting grauple, while Norrisville probably stayed all snow.

I took yet another trip to Jefferson County last night. Sure enough, the north slopes still had snow on them along Rt 9, some places along Rt 7 and even extreme northern Rt 28! You can still get your snow fix but you have to really REALLY look for the remaining snow on the north and west slopes to find it.

I'm focking HARD CORE !

Fair enough, it’s just been a s hitty year snow wise for northern Balt. You usually clean up, and in a normal bad year you’d have double the total of 95.

Here’s hoping next year is better for NW (can’t believe I’m saying this lmao)

eh its okay. I am above my total from last year, which was my bar. Anything else that falls is bonus. Would I love to hit climo, of course, but if its not in the cards, then so be it.
