There it is, the rare and sought after flip back to snow in an SWFE!

 Odd and interesting storm.

mm.. it's really more of hybrid 'swfe' tho -

i tried to point this out the other day, that the low is passing under our latitude... the 850 mb is closing off under our latitude, albeit weakly and at intervals less than the standard one you see on synoptic charts.... the moment that happens, you're probably cat pawing as it is in a marginal thermal depth... but, that pinching ends any south-westiness about it - heh seriously though

If the low was under my lat I wouldn't spike to 45 with SE winds. It went right over my head, winds switch back North North West now

I will bust on my call for staying under 32. I certainly can fess up and admit when I err. There’s been quite a few of these where I rot at 32.4. I just hit 33.4. So it’s over.

Consider yourself lucky you're 5 degrees colder than many spots near you.

31 F and waiting for a couple hours of 33-35 until the precip ends. Of course, the street will refreeze, but the city has been good about treating our hills once the nastiness is done. if we can get a good breeze with low dewpoints we might be spared the worst of the flash freeze. Not too hopeful about that yet.
