You still get 6-8 inches on that control run lol...what’s wrong with that??

Holy mother of god though for areas away from east coast of Mass...let’s lock it in.

Peeps in Boston wouldn't like 1888, but river west...yes please!

When I was a kid my cousin (yes, cousin) would tell me stories of the blizzard of 1888. This was when I was 9 or 10 or so and she was 100 or so.  She was 10 maybe 11 during that storm.  This was when I lived in Albany area where she lived.

A first hand account of '88, that is awesome! Upstate NY got crushed in that even worse than CT. A bunch of 55" reports if I remember right. It was an unusual snowfall distribution given the track, but I think there was some kind of stalled out north/south frontal boundary that focused snow up north. RI up to Boston had a lot of liquid in that storm, but CT, and particularly New Haven up to like Middletown got annihilated. I was referring to the CT River.

This is what the NAO can do. Obviously it doesn't guarantee big storms but it helps slow the flow and you get stalled bowling balls whereas in a fast flow pattern that really isn't possible.

Getting the NAO to happen can equally an amazing feat  - ... not to be snarky but, seems this has been 200+ hours for four days now and it's still 200+ hours.

Not sure what point we should start to wonder if the propensity to falsely advertise these thing may not be laughing it's ass off  -

Yeah, I think it's more confidence this time  ... all told. But it just reeks of instability and fragility in the runs...
