So now we have a new DJF temperature max to go along with the JJA record set in 2011. Pretty darn impressive to set two seasonal temperature max records in the same decade. But it goes along with all this record warmth during the 2010's.

I’m not sure we can get a ridge this strong again though.  Thats the issue more than anything is it requires insanely high heights and even with that they didn’t hit 80

Thats true, I think we look at just the records sometimes though. The frequency of 60s/70s in met winter will keep rising, even though most times it wont necessarily be a record for the date.
