Still light rain here in Greenwood, SC. Ugh! Change over already will ya Ma Nature! Oh well, I'm afraid that I will not be participating in this overperforming winter weather beauty this go around. However, I am happy just to see it snow. Fingers crossed for at least 1-inch. For all of those to the North & Northeast of me...enjoy your winter wonderland. Currently sitting at 35.6 F w/ a Wet bulb temp of 34.9 F

Foothills just went WSW.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
As of 530 AM EST Wednesday: A band of light to moderate precip
continues to blossom across the Foothills/wrn Piedmont of the
Carolinas, with other light bands across the NC mtns. The snow is
starting to pile up across the NC Foothills...around two inches in
several spots. Given the potential for another inch this morning,
and with our warning criteria being three inches in a 12 hour
period, an upgrade for the NC Foothills zones appears to be in
order. So it was written, so shall it be done.

Estimates suggest we picked up around 2" here in Newnan. Everything's packed down with snow.

It was ripping for a bit with huge flakes too, but it has let back up. Still a steady accumulating snow with small flakes right now.

BTW, most of this fell in a span of 2 hours.
