Interesting note, every one of the last 10 GFS runs have all been more closed off with the H5 low than the previous.  This is probably not the kind of error that results from sampling issues. 

Funny how much the look changes when you had a few DM over PA and WV

* WHAT...Snow. Plan on slippery road conditions through the
  overnight hours. Additional snow accumulation through 4 am will
  average up to one inch across Virginia and one to 2 inches in
  northeast North Carolina. Storm total accumulations will average
  2 to 3 inches, with locally up to 3 to 4 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of Southeast Virginia and Northeast North
  Carolina.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST early Thursday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
  times.
