I like hearing all these rain/sleet reports. That's a good sign this bad boy is cranking. Looking pretty on satellite. Come on, baby.. give me your snow.

The rain is not unexpected at this point. Now if it's still rain by midnight you might be on to something.

Stick with NWS, Mitch.  Here is 8 p.m.:

Raleigh, NC: http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=RAH&issuedby=RAH&product=RWR&format=CI&version=1

Southern Va: http://www.weather.gov/akq/observations

9:00 obs will update between 9:10-9:15

The Unisys map is just too coarse.  Check out the NC obs here:  http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=MHX&issuedby=MHX&product=RWR&format=CI&version=1
