yet they keep downplaying this in wake county? really strange.

It’s the Wake County snow hole.  Our son just came in and asked to see the radar.  When I showed him he asked, “why is there a circle of snow all around Raleigh but we have a big blank?”

Those pics out of CHS are ridiculous! Looks like every pellet and flake stuck! Roads and grass look to have the same snow depth on TWC live shots!! Would kill to have that even here! Congrats to all the places seeing a once in a 50 year storm , or storm of a lifetime!

Snow just about done here on James Island. Just over 3". Maybe snuck out 3.1". This was with almost 1/4" of freezing rain (it was freezing rain from 7 am-Noon) and probably at least 1/4-1/2" of sleet. We could have had over 6" here if not for the ZR and sleet.

Most winter weather in our area since probably the Christmas 1989 storm. 2/12/10 was 2.5" of snow, but no freezing rain or sleet.

And with almost an hour less daylight than mid February, this snow will be harder to melt.

Definitely an epic storm for this area! Best since 1989 and surpassed 2010!

Snow has tapered off to very light now but I have a tally of 7" for this storm
