I think you are referring to this mark.

And do you think you will be really testing that?  I bet you don't, at least not significantly.  Perhaps I don't, either  ;)

Sorry for the wrong Mark!  The snowpack (snowcover really, not a pack yet) is definitely more water-logged at this point, once it freezes, it should be solid here at home.  Hoping to minimize damage this weekend.

Event totals: 0.9” Snow/0.13” L.E.

The gauge contained 0.05” of liquid from that freezing rain I saw yesterday morning, and the rest of the liquid from this event was from the graupel and snow last night.  Observations from the event are below:

Details from the 10:00 P.M. Waterbury observations:

New Snow: 0.3 inches (graupel)

New Liquid: 0.01 inches

Snow/Water Ratio: 30.0

Snow Density: 3.3% H2O

Temperature: 33.1 F

Sky: Cloudy

Snow at the stake: 6.5 inches

Details from the 6:00 A.M. Waterbury observations:

New Snow: 0.6 inches (graupel)

New Liquid: 0.07 inches

Snow/Water Ratio: 8.6

Snow Density: 11.7% H2O

Temperature: 31.1 F

Sky: Cloudy

Snow at the stake: 6.0 inches

As astronomical fall comes to an end it delivered 19" of snow for me.  Last 12 days have been very cold.  Yesterday I ticked up to 40F for the first time in that period.  Snowcover took a hit but still very solid coverage.

The trend is our friend and that warm cutter that was advertised a couple of days ago may not happen or certainly not to the degree it was forecasted.  Snow and ice seem to be in the cards and then real "man" cold as Brian called it for next week.  I'll take snow and ice but can do without 0F cold.  That gets tiring very fast...
