There were even snow flurries reported in the northern suburbs of Atlanta on Sunday morning. Nothing here IMBY though.

But I certainly enjoyed the taste of Detroit-like weather to remind me of home (not!). It was one of the coldest October days ever down here as temps didn't get much above 40 until very late in the day when the stratocumulus clouds finally mixed out.

But now, things are back to normal for the foreseeable future (Sunny and temps in the 70s).

It was the third warmest October on record at YYZ.

Mean temperature was 55.9F for the month, which is way above the average of 49.0F. Total rainfall was 2.28" vs. the average of 2.44". Coldest night was only 35.0F making it one of the latest freezes on record as YYZ has yet to hit 32.0F. Though however, the suburbs of Toronto have already gone below or hit the freezing mark back in October (urban heat island effect).

Interestingly enough, when considering the top 5 warmest October's on record, the following winter snowfall is quite perplexing;

2007: 91.6"

1947: 58.9"

2017: ?

1963: 45.3"

1971: 74.2"

Average: 45.2"

Well lets see, lol!
