well believe it or not here in Asheville we got about an inch and a half, roads are covered, I guess the last hurrah of the season, not that it won't snow anymore, I've seen even in Asheville big snows the first week of April but this is probably it, so I'm very pleased to see this since it might be it until next winter, come on spring now.

I have more snow on the ground with this NWFS event than I got out of the 4+ hours of ULL snow on Monday morning.  I don't think it snowed more than an hour this morning, but it all stuck on contact.  It's beautiful around here in Hickory right now.

Congrats to all the mountain folks who are really cashing in with this vigorous event!

Same here about the NWFS, more snow out of this than the other day, we got nothing much here on Monday.

A quality AFD update from GSP...got a light dusting here with the snow showers...

As of 755 am: (Dreaming of May)...Northwest flow snow showers have
broken their mountain containment with extreme prejudice, with
one small area taking direct aim on the better part of the
Charlotte metro area. Most locations are unlikely to see the
recommended one inch of accum for an advisory, but it`s rush
hour, it`s below freezing, and at the very least, bridges and
overpasses are likely to become messy. Therefore, an advisory
has been issued to encompass much of the metro. Otherwise, NWS
GSP will take this as a rebuilding season for its winter weather
program and look forward to a bounce back in 2018-19.

For the moment the sun is out and the snow has stopped. Hopefully this is just a brief break, but we will see.

*****Edit: it was brief.*****

Yep, sun came out for about 5 minutes and it’s back to very heavy snow! Best NWFS I’ve seen in a while in Boone for sure. Measured about 4.5” before this last squal. Wouldn’t be surprised to get at least another inch maybe even more with how it’s snowing now.
