It all depends on the height either way its a massive undertaking

Here's the other issue. Let's say it takes one week. It takes crews to take that down. You are talking several people per Crain. Likewise, these are not emergency responders who are going to take these down. So even if it's only a week to take down, you are asking 100+ people to stay behind when all guidance was showing a cataclysmic hurricane bearing down on Miami. Those 100 people likely don't get out..

Not exactly. They do re-position the cranes to be as parallel to the wind as possible. There was some news coverage about this a couple of days ago.

They said they were gonna let them spin and the wind would help keep them parallel to them. Either way, cannot disassemble.
