They are trained, professional meteorologists with advanced knowledge of tropical systems. I am sure they are more in tune with this storm than most people here.

They don't think it will do too much damage to it, especially if the circulation stays off shore. It's not too crazy to imagine since the storm isn't going over the mountainous part of Cuba.
