I have never had to use my ac past mid-September. NEVER.

...And I have the most poorly insulated house on the planet (this is a scientific fact), with southern and western sun beating on it all day long.

In the well insulated apartment that I live in I have not needed it all summer. A few sticky days, but none the less I have not had to put the window unit in.

Which residence are you currently living?

I will put it back in if we get any more heat

I live on the 6th floor so it's doesn't get that hot in my apartment.

6th floor of how many floors?

Sounds like a recipe for heat retention.

AC has been doing me wonders the past few days. Thankful I didn't uninstall yet, was about to in early September.

I usually uninstall in mid Sept. Never have ever used them or had them in October. This is a first. One more round of high dews this weekend. Then they can come out

What is your max temp comfortability window? 68-70F? Do you go straight from AC to heat?

For me its about getting the humidity out of the house, not the temp. AC came on a few times a day over the weekend . With a high SEER system cost pennies a day to run. would rather not have to run it  but  we had high humidity levels with fog most of the weekend and the inside of the house wasn't gross. if it gets like that over this weekend will turn the AC back on.

Agree, it's mostly about the humidity/dampness that I like removed.I  do pref the temp in the low/mid 70s though during the summertime in the house.

Looks like we can uninstall anytime now though.
