Meh. I don't think he is really even gusting much over hurricane force at this point.

If he was at 125 like he said those power lines, trees, a lot of other things around him would still be up.

I dont know man. He is in a car wash bay. It is ripping outside of there. He isnt really doing a good job of filming. But when he looks to his left. You can see how fast the wind is ripping past him. Regardless. I am not there and he is. So still cool to watch.

That's what they mean when they say: if you stay or chase, emergency personnel will not respond or help. Chase at your own risk! Could be a fatal mistake!?

Fortunately, he has been picked up by another storm chaser. Hopefully, they'll all be ok.

It was ~275 miles out as of 5 minutes ago. Not sure how fast those things can fly. Hopefully the answer is very.

The satellite is absolutely insane for a landfalling hurricane in the US. The best I've seen since Andrew. It look like a south pacific landfalling typhoon.

Can anyone explain why hail isn't produced in the SW eyewall? Seems to me it'd be an ideal location for hail production.

My brother is hunkered down near Bay City. I'll get updates when possible.
