The national media is waking up this morning tweeting about it after they failed to put pressure on the Houston Mayor + Abbot. I called them and they did nothing. Editors wanted stories on Trump rather than the absolute destruction coming.

Reload. It seems to occasionally stall. Still going for me.

Yeah it is back up after a brief interruption. Thanks. Whoever this reporter is she is doing a pretty amazing job given the circumstances.

Have some friends in League City.  Been checking the PWSs around there and they range from 10-16" since midnight.  The interesting part is that there are so many still reporting, which means they have power and internet.  So, that's something positive I guess.

Pretty remarkable scene on KHOU. The reporter just spotted a semi with the driver inside and was able to flag down a boat. Water is at least half way into the cab

The KHOU reporter probably just saved the life of a truck driver she found stranded in his truck with the cab filling with water. She flagged down a sheriff's deputy with an air boat.

Ninj'd. Luckily the air boat happened to be passing by.

Looks like they got it back. She's doing a great job. She said no one in the studio to cut her away cause they evacuated.

She's going to be able to get a job wherever she wants after this.

Houston mayor making excuses right now for not evacuating.

Obviously you don't empty the whole city, but there are certain areas that you can proactively move people out. You can also impose some sort of curfew last night so people aren't going out to watch the fight, etc.

Nam 3k has pretty much the same precip map for the next 60 hours as it did 30 hours ago.

What in regards to track?? Does it take it back over the GOM with strengthening?

Nam does not - dissipates inland at the end of the run. But, Nam not reliable for track. Hold out for the globals in the next couple of hours.

Wow...they said in Allison they had a few inches in the building. That looks like close to two feet of water outside that door pushing it's way in. Damn.
