This stormy pattern was largely a swing and a miss for our area. Which I guess is fine since the rivers will be under stress from all the rain up north. Winds were likely upwards of 90-100mph at this location based on damage. Additionally, flooding was fairly significant as well. Most roads featured some sort of flooding, including several main roads in the area. Water was up to the windows of cars in some spots with several stalled vehicles. Up until now 8/23/07 had been the best severe storm I've experienced, but today definitely topped that. Yeah severe weather here is extremely uncommon. Lake Eries shadow usually stabilizes the atmosphere all summer. Obviously nothing in comparison to what most of this forum is able to get in terms of severe weather. I lurk all summer watching you guys get hit by insane stuff, wishing I was there. Finished with 4.15" here, and 4.81" since Thursday. Our little mini screw zone finally cashed in. My dad on the east side of the QC had 4.6" last night. I was very close to where I was during Friday's storm, and that hardest hit area.This time had some penny size hail, as well as 50-60mph winds. Some 1-4" diameter branches down around here. Pretty much hit the exact same area again.Also, as was the case on Friday, there was significant flooding with several roads and fields under 6-12"+ of water.
