The HRRR has been consistent in developing the new MSP area activity into another MCS that pushes southeast overnight.

Could have more severe with it and also increased flooding concerns when combined with the current derecho moving through, especially in areas hit hard last week.

HRRR is too slow.

It did an ok job today.

It has this MCS with the runs last evening, overnight and early this morning. Then it lost it from 12z runs on all day, until later this afternoon it finally picked back up in it again.

It definitely was slow on movement though.

Looks like clearing is working its way southeastward.

Today won't be anything special around here, and tonight probably won't be any better with a meh LLJ.

Tomorrow and Saturday look legit though. Multiple rounds, probably with severe and flood potential.

Yeah tornadoes are very rare around here so its all over the news, no injuries, so pretty exciting stuff!

Definitely some impressive damage done in those images, all things considered. Can't remember the last time I heard about a tornado in the Buffalo area. Luckily everyone is ok.

Yeah they are pretty rare in WNY, about once every few years. This hit about 15 mins south of the city, so basically in the Metro area. Very very rare.

Convective contaminated from the MCS overnight. If you plot out the 500mb and 850mb winds you can see what I mean.
