EURO wants to pop a 597 dm ridge over Kentucky & relax the Great Lakes low substantially. That was a similar setup to the 2012 heat that brought us the derecho. yoda Posted July 13, 2017 Share Posted July 13, 2017 This should be interesting tonight if LWX is correct in their afternoon AFD: Upper trough axis over the northwestern Great Lakes shifts southeast overnight allowing the focus of activity that has been north of the area to drop towards or into the LWX CWA.
