hawkeye_wx
I just got a few brief downpours overnight from a weakening west edge of the big MCS. My total is 0.43".
Spartman
Currently at 76 under overcast skies from another MCS which this time look to be around at least a bit longer than yesterday when it took until shortly after 2pm to start clearing.
Hoosier
Seems like we've had some extreme wet summer months somewhere in the region lately. Last year it was Kentucky in July. June 2015 was very wet over a larger area. Now this July, some areas will finish over 12" and not out of the question somebody ends up in the 15-20" range. Yeah, they did touch 32C on the 5 minute obs, which would round up to 90 after converting to F. But it looks like it was a rounded up ob (maybe it was like 31.8C) which you always have to keep in mind with those. So the official high goes as 89. Very wet out here this year. Not biblical proportion rains in a single month as you allude to, but well above average for the past three months. In fact, at 38.51", we hit 100% of our normal precipitation total for the year yesterday, with over 5 months to go. NOTE: This is mby CoCoRaHS, FWA is at 34.98" This past three months alone: May 9.48" June 6.83" July 7.20" (So far) Total 23.51" (61% of annual total)

Supposing if the wet pattern was to remain in place pretty much through at least the remainder of this year, anybody want to bet on several areas going for the top 5 wettest years ever by December? weatherbo
Another cool morning here. The low this morning of 43 marks the 7th time this month that I've had a low in the 40's, and on the 17th it was 37. So a third of the month has been in the 40's or lower. MQT also having a cool July averaging 73.8 52.8/ -2.3. Interesting also for MQT... May was -3.8, June 0.2, and with this month likely to finish on the cool side, it has been a cool, very short, and also wet summer to date. A warm and sunny August right before September's leaf change would be ideal.
