Agreed. Didn't get much out of Octobomb in Boston either. Awful awful season.

Happened to run across some Octobomb pics on an old, crappy cellphone over the weekend.  Just crushed here... combo of big totals plus extreme slop factor.  Tree damage was horrific, and we were out of power over a week.   The warm and pleasant Nov was appreciated initially while we were  chainsawing... thereafter it was not appreciated.

Oh how we pray for that kind of storm and associated tree/line damage again. Just an awesome awesome experience.

Glad we don't live where Octobomb was meh.

I had 17 inches in both the Octobomb and the Feb 2006 event...they may have been the most opposite impacts from the same snow total I've ever seen. Feb '06 was the weakest sauce 17" ever...I probably could have cleared the driveway in 10 minutes with a hair dryer...or a broom....or a few sneezes. Then the stuff melted in like 3 days.

October 2011 was not as pasty here as it was in CT and out west in the CT Valley, but it def had some meat to it....pasty enough anyways. Despite the warming temps afterward, the snow stuck around for over a week. Pretty awesome.

This summer has been just dreadful for sunsets.  Virtually nothing interesting at all.  Last summer we probably averaged about 3 killer sunsets per week.

My favorite sunsets are when its clear to the west with clouds overhead.  The sun sets and then for a brief time the rays shine up and light the underside of the clouds.  This is my favorite.  Took it a few years ago from my front yard.  The fall foliage added some ground color too.
