I sort of forget the rule in which tells you which variable goes on the x-axis and which variable goes on the y-axis.  Is it like dependent variable on on axis and the independent variable goes on the other?  Trying to plot magnetic field vs current but don't know which goes on what axis.  Magnetic field is dependent on the current so that might be magnetic field goes on x?

Typically the independent variable goes on the x-axis.
