Wow, Steel Hill Resort is just high enough to enjoy an epic undercast.

I even see them on my hill sometimes when the top of the fog layer is around my place at 600ft and 800ft is in the clear. That's one benefit of being on the road at 615am every morning. I developed an undercast fetish.

Classic June pattern.

Im freezing at 3600ft with a temp of 39F and moderate upslope squalls.

Not often we get NW flow squalls this time of year.  Feels like October already.  Snow level can't be that much higher up.

MWN is below freezing now with FZFG...should cool off a little more overnight tonight if the NAM is right...I'll bet some flakes occur.

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...

A couple of small changes this package. Morning temperatures are
climbing a little faster and at 10 AM they averaged 2-3F warmer
than forecast. Also, temperatures were in the mid 60s most
places and low 60s in the hills. Mixing depth is forecast to
reach 750 mb this afternoon, wherer temps on the soundings
ranged this morning from near -4C along the northern MA border
to 0C along the South Coast. This is equivilent to 6-10C at 850
mb.

We have bumped temps up 3F, roughly a category, generally low
to mid 70s. Warm spots have a potential to reach upper 70s.

59.2* and overcast off a high of 63* at the Pit.

You hill folk don't count.

Of course it is a big problem when it completely clouds up by noon after being mostly sunny at 10 AM.

Even with the chill, when the sun does break through there's no denying the strength of the near solstice sun.  The clouds and breeze quickly make you forget though.

Yeah the precip in the upper 30s at elevation just had that look and feel that it was probably frozen not too far up.  Even some small graupel like cores in some of them.
