Drove by tornado damage this afternoon on I40 near the I77 interchange in Statesville. About 5 miles east of there, trees were snapped in half and laying on the eastbound lanes as I was traveling west. Half a dozen state troopers were on the seen trying to clear the debris from the roadway. Lots of trees snapped in half in a pretty obvious path leading up to and then crossing the interstate. Pretty amazing what a tornado can do.
