Sprinkles here. Gonna be a dry day over much of NC and SC. Then the big system early in the week probably only hits the coast.

It's Wednesday night and since your post most of our forecast area has received between 3-5 inches of drought.  Hopefully we don't actually head into any dry streak here the next few weeks, but so far so good with rain/heat averages so far this season.

Love me days like this sun then storms, nothing to crazy but did just get under a small but intense little hail core, managed to get the end of it on video was right in the middle of dinner lol.....also notice the blue sky just south on me on the video....all penny size or smaller ( maybe a few marbles here and there) but came down hard for a few minutes.

Picked up .21" via a brief but very intense thunderstorm. Had wind gusts over 30 mph and a big drop in temp from it. We went from 79 down to 60 during the storm. Nice day today with low dew points. Really refreshing. Currently 80/61. Looks like a heat wave is in tap for the 3 day weekend.

Is Winston-Salem officially covered by Raleigh/Durham NWS office or Blacksburg?

Seems to be caught in no-mans land, in between.  Thanks.

RAH handles the Triad...you can click on a county and it will tell you in the top left corner what office covers that county....
