This persistence of clouds, rain, and murk reminds me in ways of 2009 which also had a weak modoki Niño developing. Really missing a good, strong Nina to change things. April's anomalous positive departure equaled March/May combined negative. So spring overall has been near normal temp wise and very wet in Monmouth County. The last time this happened was 2004.
