The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ  has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Ocean County in southern New Jersey...
  Eastern Morris County in northern New Jersey...
  Monmouth County in central New Jersey...
  Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* Until 800 PM EDT

* At 356 PM EDT...Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain
  across portions of the advised area. Low lying, poor drainage, and
  urban flooding can be expected. Up to one inch of rain has already
  fallen in spots and another inch is possible.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Toms River, New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Plainfield, Long Branch,
  Morristown, Asbury Park, Sandy Hook, Somerset, Edison, Lakewood,
  Middletown, Old Bridge, Jackson, Howell, East Brunswick,
  Sayreville, Marlboro, Manalapan and Carteret.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated...or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Well it's give and take, part of the reason for the intense convection is the strengthening LLJ and that is usually going to mean fast mover. It could have been slower if the trough had dug further Southeast and the ULL closed off over DC instead of Ohio.
