  EAST CENTRAL NOLAN COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL TEXAS...  
  WESTERN TAYLOR COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL TEXAS...  
  
* UNTIL 445 PM CDT  
      
* AT 409 PM CDT, A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO  
  WAS LOCATED NEAR HAPPY VALLEY, OR 16 MILES NORTH OF WINTERS, MOVING  
  NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.  
  
  HAZARD...TORNADO AND GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL.   
  
  SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED ROTATION.   
  
  IMPACT...FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT   
           SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED.   
           DAMAGE TO ROOFS, WINDOWS, AND VEHICLES WILL OCCUR.  TREE   
           DAMAGE IS LIKELY.

SOUTHEASTERN JONES AND NORTHWESTERN TAYLOR COUNTIES...
    
At 447 PM CDT, a funnel cloud was located near Tye, or 9 miles 
northwest of Abilene, and is nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail. 

SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed a funnel cloud. 

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely. 

This tornado will be near...
  Hawley around 455 PM CDT. 
  Abilene around 500 PM CDT. 
  Nugent around 505 PM CDT. 

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Funston, Hodges, Impact, Lake Fort Phantom Hill, Truby and Stith.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest 
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a 
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial 
shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

The National Weather Service in Lubbock Texas has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Dickens County in northwestern Texas...
  Northwestern King County in northwestern Texas...
  Southwestern Cottle County in northwestern Texas...

* Until 515 PM CDT

* At 451 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located 8 miles south of
  Dumont, or 14 miles west of Guthrie, moving northeast at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado. 

  SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. 

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.
