It will survive, it's going to be in the upper teens tonight and NYC will near 10" of snow.

Sure for a few days but once it starts to go it will go quickly because it will have air spaces underneath and the warm ground is now insulated and will stay warm.

Good luck trying to shovel your cars out if you parked on the street

Shoveling this is like shoveling bricks

This isn't going to melt anytime soon. Everything will refreeze overnight.

Mix should get well NW of the 850mb freezing line since the warmest level is above 850mb.  Hopefully we start seeing the western side of this mix line start dropping southward.

Amazing R/S this morning . Left Colts Neck at 9 AM where it had been raining since 6 AM drove 12 miles W to my office and it was still heavily sleeting .

Any thoughts on the ULL swinging through tomorrow / or just instability snow showers ?

Some nice gusts here, probably over 50 mph. Reports of flooding coming in along the bays and Jersey Shore. Just horrible, nasty, miserable outside. The snow we have is turning into slush which what's left will freeze solid overnight.

Still ripping in Manhattan. Looks like some bands are coming off the ocean over the metro.

Are you getting thunder in NYC? Just showed up on the lightning tracker.

Looks like sinking air, should fill in but it may be to late by then. Oh well, there's always next year
