I remember that as an angsty 9 year old weenie...watching the flurries come down in Wareham..and a dark wall of clouds to my east knowing they are getting slammed on the Cape.

Well, I dish data out when I'm home....but it fell on deaf ears, I guess.

I think you're in the .25-.5'' QPF range verbatim.

Ugh.....I'm going to end of with broom material while a town or two over plows

It's real tricky dude. Like 5 miles could mean several inches.

The part I'd be most worried about is what happens when the convergence zone sinks south....models may struggle with the intensity of the band and location as that happens.

This was obviously a long time ago, but I recall a monster bust in E MA in March 1992 from such a band that came down from southern ME...swung right down over E MA and produced like 4" per hour snows....it only lasted like 1-2 hours, but at those rates, that's all it took for 6-8" of snow to surprise everyone.

Got a totally unexpected 2" at our (then) Gardiner home, in a very meh winter.  Was a bit less thrilled upon learning that PWM got 11" (and later, that Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport had 6"/hr dumping for 2' total.)

I hung out in Lowell, MA last night, throughout the day, awaiting the evolution of this system.  Consequently, I'm comtemplating where I may relocate to.  I'm torn between the Freysburg, ME area and NE MA, at the current time.  I've done way too much traveling and spent a ton of money the past 7 days, as I initially was only going S of here to document last Thursdays blizzard.

Just couldn't leave the general region within 24 hours of another fairly significant storm (and the outside chance another blizzard could envelope coastal ME).  When I finally do get back home, the conditions at my place are likely to be far more frigid and volitale than anything I've witnessed during the blizzards of the past week!
