Do we need to do this every winter? It was 58 2 days ago. But it was 21 last night and any snow that falls would easily stick on the top frozen layer of ground. Of course, none of that matters, because you measure on a whiteboard, right?

Idk man.  With the increasing sun angle of think this will have a hard time sticking.

It was almost 70 in urban areas and only fell to 28 in the park. Below freezing temps were very brief there. No way this sticks to any sort of pavement there. Not to mention it's 33 with a light onshore flow
