Absolutely pouring snow, big flakes, at Big Daddy's, west of Mooresville.

That's so close I can smell it.

Wow, this is pretty tough, I could almost walk west a couple miles and have snow falling, but still rain here at the house.  I know it's not over yet but oh what could have been had we a nice wedged high coming down on the east side of the appalachians.

Sleet/light rain near RDU airport. Tops of trees are starting to glisten in the lights. Definitely think we're getting some freezing rain now.

same here - once it started it really came in fast lol.  i am hoping, with fingers and toes crossed, that we dont have to flirt with any more mixing issues.  if not, and we can hang on to snow with whats on radar, we should be in line for a really good snowfall

Yea im praying that Hrrr model is right.

Ground is getting white in a hurry.   Anybody have observations from the heavier returns coming up I-85 where Davidson, Randolph and Guilford come together?  Is that heavy snow, or is it sleet mixing in?

Cold rain off Yates Mill. If there are any flakes, they're too small to see in the streetlight. I haven't seen any sleet since a few pellets on 55 between Apex and Cary, about 3:30.

Nearest wunderground station says we're at 35, and that seems about right. No glisten on the trees, or ice on the bushes.
