Yeah that's ridiculous. If that's the same Island Park reporter who came in with 24" last January in the blizzard, my area definitely must've been the bullseye.

The pics I took at 4:30 this afternoon were definitely over 4.5" and probably around 6", and it just stopped snowing now.

What was your guys' final total?  Eeked our way to 9.5" here

Drier models actually did better with this storm than some of the wetter ones. Better snowfall totals were the result of higher ratios.

The .50 inch line only made as far west as the ISP area in Suffolk.

EWR .32...5.8"

NYC  .32...5.1"

JFK  .22....8.2"

LGA .23....7.0"

BDR .22...5.7"

ISP  .49...9.7"

I've noticed that asos stations seem to have a problem measuring LE at times when comparing....

I guess you will have to check with NWS officials and see what they think about the data.

But the Euro did the best if you buy the .50 line making it too near ISP.

As of 4 PM, Central Park had measured 4.3" of snow.  As of 7 PM, they measured 5.0", so you're telling me just 0.7" fell in that time span when 0.11" qpf fell. With todays ratios that's impossible.

In that same time span, LGA had 1.7", EWR had 1.5" and JFK had 1.9". But only 0.7" for KNYC? Obviously the Conservancy is asleep at the controls again and no one at the NWS is taking notice or gives a sh!t. Just ridiculous.

LGA ended with 7".

So after 4pm, they received 2.4" more snow.

NYC somehow only ended with 5.1". Only .8" after 4pm.

Bad measurement.
