Globals FTL with this. I looked at every hi res model for this, and they all showed this potential...just varying where it will happen. I use the locations as goal posts two days out and then successive model runs along with intuition and nowcasting help narrow it.  I am not surprised at all at the rain rates. Not one bit. You take a highly anomalous PWAT plume and then add cold season forcing to it...boom. I saw my heaviest rain rates ever in October back in 2011.  October produces the rain.
