Must have been quite chilly here in the sub-form! 50 Years Ago October 3, 1966 September in Shelby County was near normal in the matter of precipitation but nearly five degrees cooler than average. David Fette reported today. Fette, the area observer for U.S. Cooperative Weather Bureau Station said the heat shortage was 4 degrees in comparison with the same month in 1965 and 5 degrees below the long time average recorded in Sidney.
