Euro wants to sneak in another 90 degree day for the warm spots like Newark on Friday.

This would complete a near grand slam of heat for the beginning of the last 4 seasons.

Newark high temps around the beginning of the last 4 seasons:

71 winter

74 spring

91 summer..least impressive relative to other seasonal starts but still above 90

upper 80's near 90 fall

It's funny how NYC couldn't close the deal on a below zero reading during the -11.4  Feb 15 but did it this Feb with a +2.4 monthly departure.

We can only hope that what the 18z GFS is showing for the middle and later part of next week into the following weekend has legs, alot of rain for the area if that occurs. It has also been showing this or something similar for the past few runs and would certainly be a huge help for areas that need the rain.

I hope so. Unfortunately yesterday it didn't have a drop of rain so who knows if it'll flip back to showing that

We finally reached the end! This should be the last real hot day of the year. It has definitely been a hot summer and early September. This weekend looks amazing for people that love fall. Rutgers game tomorrow should be epic with a win against Iowa

You have season tickets?

i doubt we're done with 80's

80's in October this year and you can't rule out November if this pattern continues...I'll never forget November 1st 1974 walking home with a temp of 80...There were insects in the air again...November 1993 had an 80 degree day...I thought the winter was toast...wrong...

Newark closing in on the first 90 after Sep 20th since 2010. Sitting at 89 degrees.

amazing.  EWR reporting 27% humidity-how often do you see that just before a frontal passage.

Sunny and blue skies..not a cloud..one could mistake this for a midsummer day...up to 87 now...could it hit 90?

here we are at 83 degrees which is our average high for mid July!  LOL

Closer to normal temps coming up following so much warmth will feel cool. Classic sweet spot between needing heat or AC. Low Energy bill special

like the Central and Northern California Coast often experience.
