Looks very suspect to me. All the other stations in the area didn't come close that day.

Either that or it was extremely localized due to thunderstorm activity. At first glance it would appear today's oppressiveness up and down the coast has been more impressive.

I'm on the beach about 10 miles east of JFK. No t-storm activity. But the wind started crankinging right about the time that DP spiked. Local PWS in long beach was over 80 as well. I wonder if the NWS will comment on it. Would love to know if that was legit.
