Hmm, put up a post last night that apparently never made it through.

I just spent the last two days travelling the NH and ME coasts as far up as Portland.  If you've never been there it is HIGHLY recommended.  What a pretty little corner of the world.

Agreed. NH is my home state, I've only been along the coast a couple times, I'm more familiar with the Lakes Region and the mountains. I'm overdue for a trip up there.

That helps explain your dry humor.

Well my family ties to NH lasted less than 20 years but being one of only three family members born up there I definitely still feel a strong connection even though the last of my family there moved back to NY over 30 years ago now.

Looks like I'll split the uprights on this mornings showers.

Drove from alittle north of boston up to Bar Harbor along the coast (stopped in Rockland, Maine for their lobster festival) 2 years ago. Been trying to plan a trip back up that way ever since.

Perpetual rumbles of distant thunder all afternoon, but none of these storms are making it across the river, for whatever reason. Anybody cashing in?

I have pretty much constant thunder here from a storm to the north and one to the west. I picked up .07 earlier this afternoon, remains to be seen if I'll get more from these other storms.

Wow, just wow. When I left Worcester it was 95*, by the time I hit the CT border the storms were firing in front of me. For the entire way on I84 it was a never ending light show, sometimes multiple strikes per second and never more than 3 seconds between flashes. When the rain started around Southbury it was for real, from Newtown through Danbury almost to Brewster it was coming down so hard seeing past the end of the hood was a challenge.
