The Triad has had 1.32 inches of precip today. Just think, it is cooler today for parts of the region than it was some days last Christmastime. Even thoughweak, there exits some cape for scattered thunderstorms thisevening where The Wedge has eroded. Models reestablished TheWedge overnight then removes it all together Monday. A frontalboundary will stall over the southern Ohio Valley into northernVirginia overnight. A series of disturbance will then track alongthis boundary through Monday night. With each wave, there will bea round of showers and thunderstorms. With above normal pwats,rainfall amounts could range from 1 to 3 inches, especially areasnorth of I-64. If the frontal boundary and axis of heavy rainshifts to the south Monday, the Flash Flood Watch may need anareal extension, but for now, will confide the watch toGreenbrier, WV and Alleghany and Bath counties in Virginia.
