when I lived in Brooklyn I'd be the hot spot on a NE wind...LGA is a hot spot with a SW wind...Newark is a hot spot with any wind direction...

 

Offshore from WNW to N is the hottest along the South Shore beaches. I once jumped from 83 to 97

in a few minutes when a thunderstorm outflow boundary switched the flow from SSW to NW.

When was that? I remember many outflow boundrys feeling like someone instantly turned the oven on bi that extreme

 

That was during the the 1990's. I can remember having to do a double take when I saw how fast the temp

was rising on my digital readout. The sea breeze quickly stopped and the NW winds picked up to 30-40

mph along the outflow boundary.
