Offshore from WNW to N is the hottest along the South Shore beaches. I once jumped from 83 to 97 in a few minutes when a thunderstorm outflow boundary switched the flow from SSW to NW. I can remember having to do a double take when I saw how fast the temp was rising on my digital readout.
